Help My mom lose fat again

My mom was obese and she lost 66lbs sometime ago, now she's diagnosed with asthma and under-active thyroid along with starting stage of Osteoporosis. She couldn't exercise and gained weight again and now back to where she was.

My mom was obese but she lost a lot of weight (66lbs) and got fit but later she got diagnosed with Asthma, Under-active thyroid and Osteoporosis. She couldn't exercise at all and gained weight again and now she's back to where she was.

I make her do workout at home with light weights and a little cardio, she's prohibited to lean over to do anything and also she can't raise both her legs while laying down. Now her asthma is fine but she's hit a plateau after losing 15lbs. She's unable to lose weight any further, if I make her workout a lot intense and make her stand for long she gets a lot of pain in her knees and back. Her dieting is very strict because if she misses her diet she instantly gains weight. Is there anything we can do?

Proper nutrition is definitely the best way to go about losing weight. As long as she is getting enough protein carbs fat and micronutrients all she needs to do is maintain that 250-500 calorie deficit and she'll lose weight.

So sorry to hear about your situation my friend. If she has issues with knees and back we need to get her on an ellyptical or bicycle at the gym. This will allow her to push herself harder during cardio ad she will have the option to stand up or sit and there is no impact on the knees.

You could even have her do 20 minutes of the ellyptical and then 20 minutes of the bicycle so she can still get in 40 minutes of cardio. She doesnt have to go balls to the wall.. but try to get her to push herself maybe with a little HIIT.

1 minute slow pace, 1 minute faster pace and repeat for the 20 minutes on each machine.

A proper diet and simple exercises might benefit her.
