Hello all,

I'm 19 years old. I'm 190cm high and just 68kg/148lbs. This motivated me to finally train and gain some muscle. I've recently started going to the gym, keeping  a healthy diet, eating around 3000 calories a day. I find Scott's videos really helpful in learning the proper technique of exercises and also in learning new exercises. I really appreciate Your work and effort You put in making these videos. Round of applause for You and Your team!

I want to ask You for a favour. I have these conditions called Pectus Excavatum, or sunken chest, and flared ribs/rib flare. I'm not really self-confident about it, and I think it is caused by my bad posture which I have developed through my childhood, yet I'm not completely sure about it. I would be really happy if You could suggest some exercises which would help me fix Pectus Excavatum and flared ribs. Any kind of advice will be helpful and appreciated.

Thank in advance,
Stefan Hristov

I'm 100% NOT an expert on your condition, lifting or any sort of medical studies. I'm literally a "bro" who works in software development.

However, I do have access to the internet. I googled a little bit (and by a little bit I literally mean maybe the past 3 minutes) and found out a little about your condition.

I Googled "pectus excavatum" (which I know to mean Sunken Chest because I'm a Latin nerd) and then I googled "pectus excavatum workout" yielding some results that seem to focus on fixing/aiding the condition.

I would post the links, but I don't feel confident that I know the condition enough to evaluate the exercises'/rountines' validity. However, feel free to do the exact same and look at different programs in order to develop a routine or maybe talk to your doctor/a clinic doctor about it or try to see if it makes sense for you (or if you're anything like me, give them a try for a while and see if any given routine helps you out and if one does stick with it).

I'm all for trial and error in workouts, however I wouldn't mess with a medical condition. I'll leave health to the professionals. Just know that you can google pretty much anything and find enough information from reasonably credible sources and then use that to evaluate your routine.

Good luck with that!

Thanks for the support, bro! I've also been google-ing this a lot for the past week. I've found some routines which aim to fix my conditions, but I want to find out as much helpful information on how to fix them as possible. I would try some of the routines for sure, but I would be really glad if I could learn some more here.
