So I follow a few different fitness youtubers including this guy GokuFlex.

He just uploaded a video about that this technic can hurt you or something:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sE4HspPV1LM

Can't explain it to well so just look for youself.

Know my question is, is this guy talking Bull or is he right because I recon that everyone does this.

Please tell me what you think because I like to keep learning and even tho Scott gives loads of great information.

I like to look at things from different perspectives, so if this is bull i'm not going to listen to this guy anymore.

Because I don't want to learn myself the wrong things.

Kind regards and thanks in advance!

sounds like a ton of trash to me. I'm all for avoiding injury, but I'm not risking my inner belt weakening halfway through a deadlift just because "keeping air in is bad for you"... my lower back muscles would get destroyed if that happened, no matter what.

I'm all for different sources and fact checking, so I will do more research when I can. However, I currently don't believe what this guy is saying. No clue what Scott might think though

I have watched some of the video, and there are good points made. But there is also lots of evidence that supports the techinque of holding your breath while lifting (espeically heavy), and how doing it can help you avoid injury as well. You should always breath after you've finished a rep from a heavy lift, and reset your breath. But if you are breathing mid-way through a movement, and I have talked about this a lot in my videos, then you will just collapse like an accordian. And that's not good. I suggest resetting your breath after each heavy rep.
