Hey Jamie! No worries man we can help you out! I assume you got those numbers from the @mealplan page? So your total calories at the moment are about 2448 for a cut?

If you are aiming for around 2400-2500 calories, but want low carbs, how about trying these numbers...

Protein: 210g

Carbs: 200g

Fat: 90g

Total Calories = 2450

What do you think? What's your current weight, because ideally you'll be aiming for 1.2-1.5g protein per pound of bodyweight while cutting. If you find that 200g carbs is still too high, we can also drop carbs down to around 150g and increase fats and protein a little more to make up for the lost calories.

Hi Scott thanks for replying

that's definitely better than what I had I wasn't sure how low carbs needed to be for a low carb meal plan I thought they had to be as low as you can get them

the 2448 calories is 250 less than the 2698 I got for maintaining same weight is that about right or would u suggest going lower

my lean body weight is 160lb so would u suggest putting protein up to about 240g

You can start at a 250 calorie deficit and see how you go - if you lose weight then stick with it until your plateau, but if you maintain weight then make the deficit about 400-500.

Protein would be good anywhere between 210g-250g probably. I would simply start at the lower end and increase it (and fats) as you lower carbs. By hitting 210g you're at 1.3g per pound of lean bodyweight so that's still good, and gives you room to increase it when/if you drop carbs.

What do you think?
