Hi all,

I'm about to start the 12week shred challenge but am struggling to get my meal plan right. I want to gain some lean muscle and lose body fat. Hopefully the increase in excercise and proper eating will help with the fat loss. Should I focus on fat loss or muscle gain first or is it possible to do both.

Stats are: BMR:2159 BMR in motion: 3345

Height- 6'2 Weight- 94kg (207ibs)

I can show my meal plan if needed. It's currently at 2267 cal with 244g carbs 35g fat and 255g protein

Also, I don't quite understand something, if my BMR is 2159 and to gain lean mass you need to eat 250-500 in excess of that why do we need to follow the BMR in motion number. I only ask as this is over 1000cal more than my BMR at rest.

Thanks

Pick one goal and focus on it. You will accomplish much more. You should increase your fats, they're really low.

BMR in motion is the calories for the days you're working out. BMR at rest is the day you're doing nothing. When you do nothing, you're not going to be using that many calories.

Did you make any changes based on @ohawkey suggestions?

Also, these numbers are all based on "calculations"... so they are not fullproof. The reason why we average them is to hopefully get to a more realistic BMR if that makes sense.
