Hello! I am currently starting my first cutting cycle.  I've been bulking for about 8 months and would like to lean out before the summer, but my biggest concern is losing muscle.  I was hoping someone could help me set up my macros and give me advice on losing my fat while losing as little muscle as possible.

I am:

5 ft 9 in

~172 lbs

17 years old

~13-15% bodyfat

I cuttently do a PPL, one day off, PPL split (working out 6 days a week with one rest day)

I see so many people talking about different macro splits, like 50%p/30%c/20%f or 40/20/40 and so on.  I don't want to waste much time with this and would apprecate any help. Thank you

Lower your calories by 100-200 each week untill you lose weight at a steady and slow pace. Do your cardio with the new macros. If you lose weight to fast, you need to add more calories. If you lose weight to slow you need to cut a little more. I use 40 % protein 40% carbs and 20% fat no matter what I do so thats what I would recommend.

I incorporated your guys advice and am stuck still. I'm on my 3rd month of cutting and I still look like shit. I have dropped from 195lbs to 171 lbs and feel like I haven't gotten much leaner, if anything I lost muscle. I have been stuck at 171 for about a week now. I am at 1800 calories, 180g protein 150g carbs 50g fat. I would appreciate any additional advice!

Hey @polyskilz what is your current training programme/split?

I gave you some advice just a week ago. If you have only just incorporated some of the changes suggested in the Articles I advised you to check out then maybe you need to give it more time.
