Why not dial in your macros and work on developing lean muscle to start with? If lean is your end game, why put on fat to get bigger?

@Michaelklu, what is your current workout split and daily macros? If you need help finding them, use my calculator on the @mealplan page and then let us know what they are.

Hey I finally got off my butt, got out my biggest loser food scale, and cooked up the brown rice. Now it is a matter of writing all the meals down. The most work is really in the kitchen, but I have come to realize that protein, protein, protein will shut down the gain train bro. It kills your test levels. You have to be balanced. You have to be scientific. Most of all, you have to really be ready to put in the work needed for optimizing lean muscle development. I am going to tell you, I split my rice up into two servings. One I had after my lift, but before my HIIT class, then the other after my HIIT post protein shake. My evergy levels are already better for it.

The last two weeks I was shooting low on carbs instead of doing the math, and I was fatigued most of the day. I even have been having some trouble sleeping. Now that I have taken counting my macros more seriously, I already realize a difference. I was smashing most of the youngins in that HIIT class this time. Not too mention I added some butter during cooking, and am getting that 85g of fat mark dialed in, too. I am already down about 5lbs, but my shirt sleeves are getting smaller.....damn dryer.

Check out Scott's video on counting your macros. I know it sucks (not the video....the work), and it is a lot of headache, but it's worth it. It will help you to undetrstand the science.....like real friggin science, not the bro-science b.s. you hear from juicers at your local Y. Learn about it, then you will get the importance of it.

If you try the free month of platinum, then you can use the app to build up a meal plan, which will save you about half the headache. once you count the macros and put the meal plan into affect with some of the sick workouts you already get, and the ones Scott has posted, give it 6 weeks......then you will get why we suggest you just go right into lean gains. No cutting or fattening up. Fat doesn't turn into muscle. That's bro-science. Real science is fat makes testosterone turn into estrogen which gives you boobs, not pecs.

Sermon over. Good luck and happy gains!
