So I'm looking to revamp my workout routine, or use one from this site (probably that one). Right now my routine is very basic, on back / bicep days I do some back and bicep stuff, leg days I do leg stuff, etc. There isn't much thought or structure to my workouts other than they fall into that muscle group so I'll do it. I've been doing this for about 4 months and its gotten me decent gains so far, I'm sure a lot of that is because I wasn't working out at all for a while before those 4 months, but I feel like this won't do as much for me long term and I will more than likely plateau (if I haven't already). I'm looking for the best workout that is going to help me get rid of the bit of pudge I have left while either gaining strength or gaining size, which ever one will be best for the situation. Right now I'm 5'9, 175-178 lbs, 250 bench, 315 deadlift, haven't maxed squat because my back, I use 40 lbs dumbells for sets of 6 for bicep curls, if any of those numbers help. Thanks in advance for anyone who decides to pitch in some advice!

tl;dr Need help with new routine for light pudgeloss / muscle gain

Hey Justin! I actually responded to the comment you left on the 5 Day Bodybuilding split program a little while ago before I saw this. I suggested the PPL program, and with you also saying here that you want to lose a bit of fat, that's definitely what you should go for because the circuits will help with that. Take a look and let me know what you think man! https://muscularstrength.com/Push-Pull-Legs

Thanks a lot! This one will definitely work. I'll keep an update or come back with any questions while I'm working this badboy. Not sure how you stay so active and keep up with all of the comments you get on here and your vids lol but thanks for the time!

Edit: To reply to the other response you made, my meal plan is in the works, but it isn't bad, despite my picture being me holding a milkshake spilled on me with a look of great shame. Been making slow changes to my diet over the last 4 months or so and I'm close to where I want to be diet wise. I don't take a lot of pictures of my self and I thought it was a good one to show my over all front pudge and shame to better help guide hahaha. I've lost some pudge, or at least think i look better than I did before but haven't exactly lost weight so not sure if I've gained muscle while losing weight or if its just placebo.

Awesome! I do my best to keep up with the comments haha 😊

Oh that was a milkshake? I thought it was coffee haha. You don't look ttoo pudgy at all man, and besides, you are working on getting leaner so what you have will go soon enough if you keep working at it! Keep up the great work!

Well its more of a babyfat looking thing that has to go lol. First week of doing PPL, figured I would finish off last week with my routine and take the weekend off and start fresh this week with new routine. Gonna keep updating with how its going!
