Does it need to be in order?

Hello,

I was wondering if the workout order mattered? For example on chest day:

Bench press: 12 reps of 4 sets
dumbell incline press: 12 reps of 4 sets

hammer strength decline: 12 reps of 4 sets
chest fly machine: 12 reps of 4 sets

Is it ok to do chest fly machine first, bench press second, dumbell incline press third, etc...? As long as I do those exercise by the end of my workout it's ok right?

Thank you, best community ever! :)

William,

Order of exercises don't matter. They only are important if you are trying to address a lagging body part or a part of the muscle not up to par. For instance, if your upper chest is an area you want to add more size to it would be best to start with your incline work first when you have the most energy.

Thanks John!

Also, I was wondering if chili is good to eat when cutting? It's homemade

William,

Cutting is a function of controlling your macros and total calories consumed. The only important food criteria is that the food be natural, wholesome, and devoid of processing and artificial ingredients. If your homemade chilli has natural, wholesome ingredients and doesn't put you in a calorie surplus, then enjoy :-)

It is a great idea to start with the movements where you can use the most weight.

With that said, it is also a good idea to mix up the order of your routines in order to keep your workouts feeling more fresh and exciting.

Also, if something you need is being used, just move on to the next thing and get back to the missed thing later. I do this a lot actually. Don't slow down your workout waiting for something that is unavailable.

William,

As John said, the orders of the exercises do not matter, but you should stick to one order of exercises (a routine) for a considerable period of time. For instance, you shoud stick to one order of exercises for 5 weeks, and after those 5 weeks, switch up the order or change exercises. I also recommend not doing the same exercise order twice per week of you train muscle groups twice per week. I didn't know if you were curious about the order of exercises in respect to a routine, but just incase you were, there ya go!
