Hey everyone! I'm new here and I'm already down 125lbs!!

    April 17, 2017, 7:33 am

Sooo hey there everybody! Scott ya told me on youtube to hit ya on here sooo here I am! My name's Ron, anddd I've ready lost 125lbs and am now some what of a wizard with the meal planning haha

Im 27 6'1255lbs abd started losing weight around 2 years ago at near 400lbs (heaviest on drs record I think was 385? But I know I got heavier)

I've joined up on here so I could hopefully talk to scott and shed off these last 80 pounds

I got sick for 3 months and was maintaining weight for 2 months before that so things are finally back on course and actually I start a brand new vegan monday-friday meal plan with meat on weekends (possibly fish on wednesdays, I need to figure out if I'm fully cutting red meat all together) and can't wait to switch from a 3 day split to a 5! Which is why I joined so I could get that plan haha.

Oh yeah! My brother has benefited from all of this as well, he started around 220lbs and with my gym routine (found on interenet forums) and meal plan (i am a wizard with macros haha) he's gone down to 155 then bulked to 170 and I know have him cutting to 160 where he will stay at and just continuously build muscle (aka no more cutting/bulking) (he's 5'10)

I'll add pics of me and when I get new update pics of my brother I'll make a new thread for him. If there's any typos sorry! And I can't wait to talk to all of ya and scott especially! I watch your videos a lot for good form and advice and etc you've helped me a lot through this journey and now it's time to hit the 185lb end goal!!!

Hope to hear from y'all soon!

Hey my man, I'm one of the kinda active people on these forums. Scott doesn't ALWAYS reply immediately, but he'll eventually show up.

It's great to see your progress! you've really been cutting down hard! It takes a while but its possible. It's all about consistency.
I for one could never give up red meat. It is a staple in my diet. I absolutely love it. However, if you can, more power to you!

It's great to hear that your brother is also benefitting from your progress and making some of his own!
I'm currently on the grind, trying to bulk back up after losing 12 lbs in a few days because I was in the hospital. It sucks, but at least I got a head start on my summer shred, haha!

Good to see you staying motivated and keep up the good work!

[if you have any questions, feel free to ask/make other forum posts, people usually respond a lot more, but the forums have been slow lately for some reason]

    best of luck!

You have done an amazing job so far Ron!! So proud of you bro!

And the fact you're helping your brother shed some weight is just awesome!!

Looks like you've done a pretty impressive job so far.. those last 80lbs should be a piece of cake to lose :-D haha. Seriously though, they might be a bit tougher because or course it's always easy to lose the first pounds compared to the last. Some more diet manipulation will definitely come into play.. maybe some more cardio too.

I assume you're doing the 5 day bodybuilding split then? Are you adding some cardio or circuit training on top of that to help with fat loss?

Hey!! Man it's bizarre you replied haha you're the best man, your vids on form etc have taught me and my brother everything.

So we are on a deload week prepping to go from a 3 day split to a 5 day. Before I got sick I was doing 45-60 mins cardio on bike/12 miles everyday and post workouts mon, wed, fri.

Now we're switching to your 12 week challenge 5 day split (at end of 12 weeks we will decide what steps to further enchance our workouts) with 45-60 mons of cardio post workout as well.

Here's two pics one of me one of my brother. Both are around 5 months old. So he's put on some size in muscle and I've stayed the same because I was maintaining then got sick and everything fell apart for 3 months haha. (back on grind though!!)

And also I was wondering if we could talk about my macros a bit? Thanks!!!

You guys are both looking great!! Awesome job again!!

Are you doing cardio only on the 5 days you're going to be working out now? Or every single day, including your off days? Because if you are only planning on doing cardio 5 times a week, it might be better to pick two of your more intense sessions (one of them likely being a leg session) where you don't do cardio on that day, or not as much. If you're going to do cardio every day, that's OK, but you'll need to account for that with your calories so you still give yourself a shot at maintaining/building muscle.

We can definitely talk about your macros! Just post your current macro set up here and I'll take a look!

I think you should be eating a bit more fat. Fat doesn't make you fat, excess calories make you fat. Fat's essential for testosterone levels. Especially saturated fats (from things like coconut oil), and you have none. You want a little bit in there - at least 5-7% of your total fat intake for the day should be saturated.

Can you stay in a deficit while increasing your fat to around 60g per day?

Hey everyone! I'm new here and I'm already down 125lbs!!

I'll check right now if I can up the fat and sub out a few carbs. I'll supplement with mct oil (I only use that and coconut oil when it comes to using oil haha πŸ‘πŸ‘ )

I'll post new macros after I figure it out

Question is at 1640 calories I'm losing 2lbs a week just from diet then burning at least 700-1200 calories from workout/cardio. The 700 calorie from workout is purely from cardio and not the workouts from your challenge/5 day split. I didn't really know how much I'd wanna out for calories burned from lifting

so here's the new macros, and I got all the saturated fat like ya said now, mct oil gotta love it lol

Now the only thing remaining is the calorie intake, is it enough? I'd be dieting losing 2lbs a week at 1640 then add 700-1200 from cardio/lifting 6 days a week. Do I need to eat more or will my body be okay with that amount?
