About Me

I found fitness a couple years ago and it has become a major staple in my lifestyle. I've been actively lifting weights off and on now for a couple years while working on my NASM Personal Trainer certification. I have also become very interested in Bio-Chemisty on the side (sort of as a hobby) as I find it extremely fascinating how the body works and the chemical processes that occur in our cells (particularly with the endocrine system). From the two years I started, I have put on roughly 12-15 lbs of muscle but I know I can take my training much further if I can just get my Nutrition and meal plans structured properly. That has always been a personal challenge for me, and being a software engineer tends to keep me very busy sitting at a desk most of the day and not having a lot of time to prepare a quick healthy meal or snack during work that won't spike my insulin and thus kill any of those extra moments of potential fat burning to help me stay lean. Hey every moment counts right? ;-) My goal is to add on about 20-25 more lbs of muscle as I'd like to have a lean physique very similar to Scott's or Layne Norton's and help teach others in my family and community how to achieve the same. I think many seem to believe it is impossible, but the biggest tip I have found to be the most helpful for me, is not only setting personal goals for yourself but also having a solid plan in place in order to reach those goals and sticking to it.
