I am originally from Brazil and I am a Chemical Engineer by training. I work as an engineer for the best yogurt in the world: Yoplait! I love what I do but I also have a personal passion: fitness. When I am not working as an engineer, my time is dedicated to my family and SHF. In a just a few years, I have seen this community grow so much and I am so proud to be part of it!
My role at SHF is all about strategy. In order to grow as a business and ensure that we are providing the absolute best to our community, we have to strategize and plan extensively. Everything we do is carefully thought out in advance, from video topics and release schedule, to website development, affiliations, fitness research, data analysis and much more!
I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I had a great childhood with an amazing loving family who taught me to be determined and a hard worker. I always excelled in school and I knew I wanted to have a career in Science. I managed to have tons of fun but school and career always came first.
I love my Latin culture because it has made me who I am today. We are friendly, fun loving, but most important of all, we are kind to others. Growing up surrounded by poverty has made me appreciate the small things in life and made me want to be good and do good for others.
I came to the US to go to college and once I graduated from the University of Florida, I loved the country so much, that I decided to stay. I have traveled and lived all over the US and I am eternally grateful to this country for accepting me with open arms.
Being from Brazil, I was raised in warm weather in the midst of bikinis and speedos! :) Being healthy and fit is a huge part of my culture and I have been active for as long as I can remember. For me, fitness is not a choice anymore, it is a natural part of my life. I believe that our body is our most precious asset and we need to treat it as such. With my background in Science and Chemistry, I really enjoy researching and learning about fitness and the human body. It is amazing what the body can do if it is challenged and nourished properly!
